Itinerary
Day 1 — Dibrugarh → Roing
Early morning departure from Dibrugarh. Drive towards Roing through the scenic Assam countryside. Cross the Dhola–Sadiya/Bhupen Hazarika Bridge. Continue towards Roing through the Lower Dibang Valley. Check in at your hotel/homestay. Evening at leisure. Explore the local market or take a relaxed walk around Roing. Overnight stay: Roing
Roing → Anini via Mayodia Pass
Early breakfast and departure from Roing. Drive towards Anini through the spectacular Mayodia Pass. Enjoy the changing landscape from forested mountains to the remote Dibang Valley. Stop at scenic viewpoints and waterfalls along the way. Continue towards Anini. Arrive in Anini by evening. Check in to your homestay/hotel. Relax after the long mountain drive. Overnight stay: Anini
Anini → Angrim Valley → Chigu Camp
Early breakfast. Start towards the Angrim Valley / Dri Valley region. Enjoy the remote mountain landscapes and forest roads. Continue towards Chigu Camp, one of the prominent wilderness experiences around Anini. Explore the surrounding river valley. Spend time photographing the mountains, river and surrounding wilderness. Enjoy a peaceful afternoon in the Chigu area. Return to Anini by evening if road conditions and daylight permit. Chigu is commonly included as a dedicated day excursion from Anini, with the surrounding area known for waterfalls, river scenery and remote landscapes. Overnight stay: Anini
Emuli Grassland Expedition
Early breakfast. Depart for Emuli Grassland. Drive through the beautiful landscapes of Upper Dibang Valley. Reach the grassland area and explore the open mountain meadows. Enjoy a short walk/trek and photography. Carry packed lunch because facilities in these remote areas can be limited. Spend time enjoying the panoramic mountain surroundings. Return towards Anini in the afternoon. Evening free for rest or a short walk around Anini town. Overnight stay: Anini
Mathu Waterfall → Gipulin Village → Traditional Idu Mishmi Experience
Early morning breakfast. Start towards the Mathu/Mathun Valley area. Visit Mathu Waterfall and enjoy the surrounding natural landscape. Continue towards Gipulin Village. Spend time experiencing the local village environment. Interact with the local community and learn about traditional Idu Mishmi culture and lifestyle. Explore traditional houses and local surroundings. Enjoy a traditional/local lunch if arranged in advance. Return towards Anini in the evening. Relax at your accommodation. Overnight stay: Anini
Anini → Roing
Early breakfast. Check out from your Anini accommodation. Begin the return journey towards Roing. Drive through the Dibang Valley. Cross Mayodia Pass once again. Stop at suitable viewpoints and scenic locations along the way. Continue towards Roing. Check in at your hotel/homestay. Evening free for rest. Overnight stay: Roing
Roing → Namsai → Golden Pagoda → Dibrugarh
Breakfast and check-out from Roing. Begin the journey towards Namsai. Visit the famous Golden Pagoda, a major Buddhist attraction in Namsai. Spend some time exploring the monastery complex and surrounding area. Continue towards Dibrugarh. Reach Dibrugarh by evening. Trip ends at Dibrugarh.
